About

The back of a postcard, handwritten in capitals: Susan. Left my purse in 1952 so I'm back again! If you could crochet a new chaos sphere for the time wizard that would be superb. It's cold in the vortex Susan. Hugs and kisses, Beth
One of Beth's, spring 2015.

Creepy Postcards is a small shop of real antique postcards that I sourced myself by hand from small, local antique stores. Each one is the only one.

You pick a card. You write the message, or tell me a little about the person and I’ll write it. I handwrite it on the real card, put a stamp on it, and mail it. Before it goes out you get photos of both sides.

I was born a chaotic neutral lady and running this business is mostly an extension of that part of me.

Backstory

In the spring of 2015, I found a cache of old postcards. Bored, I sent one to my mom, signed under the moniker of “Beth,” a random fictitious woman who was lost in an alternate universe, demanding help from my mom to find her beloved “chaos sphere.”

My mom called me, baffled by it. I went on to send her 7 more cards over the next two months, all from Beth, before finally ending the whole thing with a singing telegram about the chaos sphere. My mom was so perplexed by it, but clearly got a laugh out of it.

Creepy Postcards emerged shortly after and became a short-lived viral hit that burned through me over the course of a summer.

And now it’s back. For you to enjoy.
